What does the "Decode with AI" button do?
Tap any item to open it, then hit "Decode with AI" for a complete-beginner translation you can understand in under 30 seconds without opening the source. It sorts the item into a type (vulnerability, tool, technique or research), rewrites the headline in plain words, opens with an everyday-life analogy, walks through how it actually works at a conceptual level, and ends with a verdict on whether it is worth digging into. Every acronym or bit of jargon is footnoted with a one-line plain-English definition under a Terms list. Results are cached, so re-opening a decode is instant.
How often is the feed updated?
Sources are fetched on a schedule (typically twice a day) and the feed reads from a cached store, so it loads instantly and always reflects the most recent run. The “last updated” time shows when the data was last refreshed.
How are items categorised and scored?
Every item is tagged into one of five categories — Tool, Vulnerability, Technique, News or Research — based on its source and signals. Each item also gets a relevance score (newer items, items matching more security keywords, items from high-trust sources or watch-listed researchers, and items mentioned by multiple sources rank higher) and a creator-potential score. The “why this matters” chip is derived from those same signals.
